Dolores Redondo first studied law and worked in the restaurant industry before turning to writing.
In 2009, she published her first historical novel and then began her Baztón trilogy (*The Invisible Guardian*, *Of Flesh and Bone*, and *An Offering to the Storm*, Gallimard). All three volumes have been adapted for the screen. She then decided to let her heroine continue her career and wrote a fourth book, which she set in New Orleans, devastated by Hurricane Katrina. *La face nord du cœur* (Gallimard, 2021) received the 2021 Elle Magazine Readers’ Grand Prize.
Her latest book is *Celles qui ne dorment pas* (Ed. Gallimard, 2026).
As part of the festival celebrating Black and crime literature, “Un aller-retour dans le noir,” on October 3 and 4 in Pau.
