Chapelle de Piétat

On the heights of Pardies-Piétat, a small Béarnaise village near Pau is the site of Notre-Dame de Piétat. With its 17th century chapel, the Piétat site (where liturgical feasts dedicated to Mary are still celebrated) was originally a pilgrimage site for the Virgin Mary. The site offers stunning views of the Pyrenees and the Nay Region. It is also the starting point for many hikes. Quiet, surrounded by nature, you will also find a calvary and an orientation table covering the entire range of the Pyrenees there.
