Parcours Patrimoine : un bourg historique et industriel

Mentioned since the XIIth century, Coarraze is one of twelve baronies of Béarn: its territory originally included Labatmale and Saint Vincent. Around its castle, a big village being both farming and working, developed. Upon the XIXth and XXth centuries, it is known as one of the main industrial areas of the Pays de Nay, around textile and wood industry. Marked out by the cultural heritage of the church and the castle, this walk redraws the story of these various activities, from homeworking to the big factories.
