In the morning, slip on your hiking boots for a beautiful hike in the Coarraze woods. The easy, shady path takes you through a peaceful forest to Lac de Sargaillouse, a small spot nestled deep in the woods. Here, children can watch herons, frogs and newts, while older children get out their fishing rods to tease trout or carp. Don't forget to pick up your fishing license before you leave, or get one from the Tourist Office. A picnic area by the water invites you to take a break in the heart of nature.

In the afternoon, step back in time and follow in the footsteps of Henri IV with a guided tour of the Château de Coarraze. A former royal residence, the château opens its doors to you with its landscaped garden, wooded park and medieval tower. A historical immersion in the heart of Béarn, in a setting steeped in memory and charm.
